Our Data Destruction Standards
We follow NIST SP 800-88 Rev. 2 and IEEE 2883 guidelines for media sanitization, applying verified methods appropriate to hard disk drives: full-drive software overwrite or firmware Secure Erase/Sanitize commands and physical deformation (multiple drill-throughs of all platters or crushing/bending) when higher assurance is required. Every drive is tracked by serial number under strict chain-of-custody procedures, the process is verified, and a Certificate of Destruction is issued for each asset, ensuring data is rendered unrecoverable while remaining transparent about the techniques used.
